April Lockhart
April Lockhart is a born on July 4 April, 1995. As a seventh-grade student, she started taking guitar lessons and piano lessons. This ignited her passion for songwriting. At the age of 12, she composed her first single, Different. She spent a lot of time at 14 writing songs and practicing the piano. Then, she began going to NY and LA along with her dad so that they could both to write songs. April featured other topics in her track, Take my Hand. These topics were meant for the friends of hers who struggled issues like peer pressure, issues or even teenage suicide ideas. Lockhart works in partnerships at famous clean beauty brand Ilia and is also a lifestyle blogger who has a growing fan base. Born without a left hand, Lockhart has a significant part to play in her. It's however not the only thing she has to tell. Lockhart's Twitter profile does not ignore her being disabled, but neither does it focus on it. It's a message. We are all more than our physical selves. Our identities are complicated and we contain many different elements. Lockhart tells Lockhart via video "I am not convinced that my physical appearance should define me. I don't intend to have an impact on disability because I have so much more to offer." It doesn't affect my everyday life. All is well and I have learned to adapt. However, it's a component of me and I feel it's essential to discuss. Self-acceptance can be a marathon for a lifetime but Lockhart truly inspires me in this regard. She still admits having gone through a few phases regarding her appearance, feeling uncomfortable in certain situations wearing clothing that displayed her arms. She can wear whatever she'd like, and proudly shares photos of her dressed in her favorite outfits. Self-love, according to her, is a process. "I believe that you will ever be there," she said. This is true for everyone, no matter what their level of insecurity. It is essential to surround yourself with individuals who truly know the person you are.
